Connect Once and Pick Files Straight Out of Your Own Folders
Most actors already keep their headshots and their audio in a cloud folder, because that is where the photographer or the studio put them. Getting them onto a website meant downloading each one and uploading it again, which on a phone is the difference between doing it and meaning to.
Dropbox is now an import source for both audio and photos. Connect it once from Integrations, then browse your folders and tick what you want.
Browsing, not searching
The picker walks your folders rather than scanning the whole account, because the whole account is usually enormous and the thing you want is almost always in a folder you can name. You navigate to it the way you would in Dropbox itself.
It stops after 12,000 entries or 300 matches, whichever comes first, newest first, and it tells you when it stopped. That last part matters more than the limits do. A list that quietly truncates looks exactly like a complete list, and you would go looking for a file that was there all along.
Photo rows carry a thumbnail. Picking a headshot by filename is close to guessing, and the filenames a camera produces are worse than useless.
Two import sources that look alike and are not
SoundCloud and Dropbox sit next to each other in the same dialog and behave completely differently underneath. SoundCloud has titles, genres and durations for everything, but no plain download, so a track has to be reassembled from its streaming segments. Dropbox has the file itself and almost nothing else: a name, a size, a date.
That is the caveat worth stating. An imported Dropbox track arrives with its filename as its title, so if your files are called VO_final_v3_USE_THIS.mp3 that is what lands on your site until you rename it. Ten seconds per track, and worth doing, because a track title is text a search engine can read.
Photos got the missing button too
Photos previously offered only the bulk picker. There was no single-file upload, which meant no way to type a caption while uploading, even though the underlying endpoint had always accepted one.
The add panel now matches Audio's three buttons: Upload a File, Upload Multiple Files, Import Files. An imported photo goes through exactly the same path as an uploaded one, including the generated caption, the resize on upload, and the rule that makes your first photo the principal one.
On permissions
The connection is read-only and scoped to your own account. Nothing is written back to your Dropbox, nothing is deleted, and disconnecting from Integrations ends it. The privacy policy covers what is stored.
