From what I know of self tapes, generally they feature clips from your acting experience. However this one's a little different. As it's a call for teenagers who may not have had much performance experience, they've suggsted that it sould take the form of a conversation, almost. It's more about getting to know the acto…

In the past, I’ve done some lectures and booked speaking events and performed as a singer for a while. Would this just be relegated to “special skills” at the bottom or would I put it somewhere else bc I have training as an actor, but only a few, non-union theater+film credits.

it's such a difficult thing for an actor to play a really good villain. To me, the best villains are never too on the nose, they always find an interesting side of the character to tap into that clearly wasn't on the page without them. My favorites would probably be Heath Ledger as Joker, Javier Bardem in No Country fo…

Hey friends! I have some Zoom auditions coming up, and I don't have a laptop, and I find using my smartphone for auditions unreliable. I have a Desktop computer that is directly connected to my modem and would make me feel much more comfortable using for auditions. For other actors auditioning on Zoom on your desktops…

Hello! I’m an actor studying theatre in university and I’ve just started the rehearsal process for a show that will be performed entirely over Zoom. I’ve never done -or watched- an online show that was more than just a one-time script read so I was wondering how many people would actually watch a live show on Zoom? No…

I understand for single cam - you have the night before, you have time in your trailer, you have the time while they're setting up lighting, to learn just 1 or 2 scenes a day.
