Entering your own color

The swatches are a starting point, not a limit. Enter a hex value and you get exactly that color. Use this when you have a brand color to match, a headshot to pull from, or a poster whose palette you want the site to echo. Paste the six characters with or without the hash. If you are matching print artwork, expect it to look slightly different on a screen. That is the difference between ink and light rather than a fault here.
